After paying tribute to Claude François in his own way on the set of his show “L’Heure des pros” on CNews, Pascal Praud was targeted by a member of the singer’s entourage. The latter did not mince her words in her response to the journalist.

On Monday, November 13, Pascal Praud wanted to add some cheer to his show, but he certainly didn’t expect to provoke such a reaction.

A small outing that obviously did not please everyone, especially the daughter of a famous lyricist who worked with Claude François during his career. “Hello Pascal Praud, this morning it seems (I’m not looking at you) that you aired a fragment of the song Sunny Monday and that you took the opportunity to puke about our time.”writes Eponine Bégéja on X (formerly Twitter), who is none other than the daughter of lyricist Frank Thomas, who composed the lyrics of the well-known hit. “Know that my father, author of this song (with Jean-Michel Rivat), communist and son of communist activists, hated people like you”adds the one who claims to be the show’s producer Open kitchen on France 3.

Eponine Bégéja does not stop there in her response and if her father were to die in January 2017, she is firmly convinced that he would not approve of Pascal Praud’s statements. “To create popular art you have to love people, be curious and enrich yourself with everything you don’t know yet. This was the case with my father who speaks about people in many of these songs without using them”she continues, before concluding very violently: “PS: He also wrote a song called The phone is crying and it said nothing about his views on new technologies. You have the right to play these songs, I have the right to be thoroughly disgusted by them, given the stinking speech that follows.”
A justified attack, but Pascal Praud did not want to respond for the time being.
